Keep your Mac awake, right from the menu bar.

Wake stops your Mac from going to sleep while you need it. Click its icon and choose how long, whether that’s the next 15 minutes or until you turn it off.

Free for 7 days. Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later on Apple silicon or Intel.

Awake for as long as you need it.

Downloads, exports, backups and presentations shouldn’t stop because your Mac nodded off. Wake keeps it going for a set time or until you say so, and it’s always one click away.

A few settings, and nothing to set up.

There’s nothing to set up before you use Wake. If you’d like it to behave a little differently, its settings are short, and you won’t need to sign up for anything or approve anything in System Settings.

Common questions

Which Macs does Wake work on?

Any Mac running macOS 14 Sonoma or later, with Apple silicon or an Intel processor. To update macOS, open System Settings › General › Software Update.

Will it keep my MacBook awake with the lid closed?

Not on its own. When you close a MacBook’s lid, macOS puts it to sleep unless it’s connected to power, an external display and a keyboard, which Apple calls clamshell mode. Wake doesn’t override the lid, so keep it open if you need your Mac to stay awake.

Does Wake need any permissions?

No. Wake doesn’t ask for access to anything on your Mac. It goes online only to activate your licence and check for updates.

How many Macs can I use it on?

Up to 3 of your Macs. To move Wake to a new Mac, choose Deactivate This Mac on the old one.

What if it’s not for me?

Try Wake free for 7 days, with no card. If you buy it and change your mind within 30 days, we refund you in full.
